Roofing Malamulo UPDATE

The past few months has seen many blessings for our family. Our third son, Jett Andrew Hayton was born at Loma Linda Medical Center on May 25, 2012. He was 9lbs, and 20.75 " long. He is a sweet, healthy boy and we are enjoying him so very much.

Benson and Hudson are the "Big Bros" and their jobs include kissing Jett's head first thing in the morning, holding Jett (and especially holding Jett's head up), and letting Mommy know when Jett has "spilt his milk on his chin"...

We have had a chance to go through the Malawi Medical Mission books and have seen the numerous donations that have flowed in for the Malamulo Roofing Project. We are so humbled and grateful for all our family and friends who have been inspired to give to this project. THANK YOU so much for your action, your care and your donations for 'Roofing Malamulo'.

Can you believe that we are HALF way to our goal of $100,000 USD? WHOA!!! That is huge. With donations coming in from Australia, Brazil and America, you have all raised over $50,000 USD! This is incredible and I am in awe at how God is providing for Malamulo.

I'd like to 'introduce' you to some of our Malawian staff who will benefit from this project.

Levi and Mary Misomali (Levi is the CFO for Malamulo and Mary works at the Secondary School). Levi was working in the garden on the day we came by to take photos. Here is Mary Misomali standing outside her home. Mary said she has been praying to God for help with the mission homes. On inspection her living room ceiling has more water spots than any other I have seen. It has been patched and re-patched.

Mrs Botomani and her children (husband Arnold works in the laboratory at Malamulo). Parts of her roof have completely fallen in. She stated that her family would be so grateful to have assistance for fixing the roof.

Owen and Merci Nkungula (Merci was busy cooking over the fire while we snapped this photo). Owen is a medical assistant at the hospital. Their home has boards that have been tacked back up from sagging after heavy rains. Owen and Merci talked about how fixing the roofs at Malamulo will make everyone enjoy their homes so much more, especially during the rains. Not needing to worry for the damage that will ensue from rotten ceiling panels and dripping water inside the house.
