Australia

Benson and I have been living the high life in Australia. Constant attention for the Bubba B and the very frequent sleep ins for the Mamma. What a good life...well almost.

Today we skyped with Ryan for the first time since arriving, and it was wonderful and sad. Benson was so excited to see his Daddy and kept blowing him kisses and pointing at him with smiles galore. Yes, we both miss the Dadda.

But we have been enjoying Australia and Benson has been developing his vocabulary. Notably in the first few days after meeting his Papa (my Dad) he began to use the word "Papa" like it was going out of fashion. Dad pretends that this is not the most flattering thing that has ever happened to him, but occasionally we get a glimpse of just how much it means to him when Benson reaches out for his Papa.

Grandma D has been pampering his culinary skills, with all types of gourmet adventures. However, his most favorite discovery so far in Australia would be at breakfast when he does 1-2 Weet-Bix. It never gets old. Grandma has spoiled him with rides on the car at the supermarket, and he doesn't let her forget to take him once they enter the building. "Ka" Grandma, "Ka, Ka"...

Aunty DD likes to take him out to look at the 'Kas' and 'tucks' on the road. They play peek at me behind the couches, and she is always thinking of what would "The Little Fellow" want to do...

Benson has also enjoyed playing with Nadine's kids, and meeting all my buddies again.

We still have plans to take him to the zoo, and more of the same things we have been doing. Basically we're enjoying the sunshine - before we head back to the snow.

I have uploaded pictures to our picasaweb and will add to this once I get home too...
