Christmas Eve

Some of the family in Detroit
Jules and Corey with the Detroit Skyline
Aunty Louisa reading Nursery Rhymes to Benson
Benson learning about his hernia with Daddy the Surgeon

We are here almost all together. With the exception of Andy and Amy and G+F and Ryan who is on call. It's lovely to spend this time with family and share the mystery of shoveling snow and how to keep warm in -10 wind chill with Californians. Tonight we opened our stocking stuffers which is a revived tradition. We each received lovely crimson and white stocking from PB with our names on them from Grandma Hayton. What a treat! Benson has developed a hernia and it will require surgery next week. His Mommy took him to the ER today because she was worried about him. But, (as her hubby said) he needs to wait it out til next week. I'm looking forward to tomorrow when Ryan comes home and we can watch Benson get into his presents.

Oh how sad that we couldn't be with you this Christmas to celebrate too. We even miss the snow.
